Animoto for Real Estate 6
Animoto - a golden nugget for real estate agents. I’ve been playing with Animoto for a while now, and I’m convinced that this is a great tool for real estate agents.
Not only can you use it to showcase your homes using snazzy video, but you can also use it to spruce up your home movies too.
Animoto is simple. The hardest task associated with it is finding the photos you’d like include inside the movie you’re creating. In short, you’ll upload photos, choose from a selection (rather small but great quality in my opinion) of music to play in the background, and finish your video (and send it off to get rendered).
For free, you can make an unlimited amount of short videos and for $99 for three months (or $249 for a year), you can create unlimited premium DVD quality videos. My office subscribed to the three month subscription and created the following video for our grand opening. It’s currently being displayed on a 42″ plasma in the lobby with excellent visual quality.
Other videos have been created to showcase real estate. There is even a video for Prudential Gary Greene (real estate broker) made by Animoto.
Animoto is defintely worth a look, and the links you’ll find on this post are affiliate links that give you $5 discount on an all-access-pass while also giving me a 3 month pass to my subscription. I’ve but both links below so you can follow either one.

Give it a try, and let me know what you think! Remember, you can create unlimited short videos so please feel free to experiment.

I agree with the music part but you do get to see more about the people who are in the office and it is nice to see something other than text on a website. We might have to check it out.
I still think Virtual tours are the best option to showcase a home. Virtual Tours give potential buyers/renters a better feel of the lay-out rather than just pictures. Unfortunately, realtors do not utilize this option as often as they should.
I also think Virtual Tours can help realtors/landlords with time management. If they(realtor/landlord) have created a virtual tour, potential buyers are able to immerse themselves in the property without having to schedule a showing. If they are serious and like what they see they will then take the next step of scheduling a showing.
I currently offer FREE listings and virtual tour hosting on my website for Colorado Real Estate Listings. Click on my name to follow the link.
I think you can over do the music and gimmics on virtual tours. Keep it simple.
That is very cool, I am going to use it as well. Thanks for showcasing this Steve.
Definitly a tool worth looking into. Our office offers us a similar tool that I use all the time. It works great to make virtual tours of areas for your website, as well as listings. Be creative!
I like your page MileHigh and think the virtual tour saves a lot of time and effort-in the end
