One Dollar Camera Image Stabalizer

This was just too good not to mention. Cobbler over at Metacafe posted a video recently on how to create a stabalizer for your camera that will hardly break your budget; it’s only a $1 worths of materials.

I’m seen way too many times that agents have taken pictures, and those pictures have been subject to poor quality because of a shaky camera. I’ll admit it; I do it myself from time to time. You have three options:

  • Re-take the picture. A hassle, but if your camera has a preview feature on a built-in screen then you should able to notice any poor picture quality.
  • Post it anyway. Please don’t do this! All homes you list for sale deserve pictures that are top-notch quality.
  • Eliminate the problem to begin with. Use Cobbler’s method in the video below!

$1 Image Stabilizer For Any Camera - Lose The Tripod

How easy was that? I’m going to try this suggestion this week and update this post to let everyone know how it works out. This is one of those simple ideas that makes you say to yourself, “Why didn’t I think of that?”-SC-

My first thought was “no way this will work”
I shoot with a Nikon D70 (very similar to the one used in the video)I’ve got the items to make it in my garage and will be trying this out later this week. If it works I’m going to feel pretty dumb. I just spent $200 on a Bogen Tripod.

Thank you so much for sharing this. I have seen too many wretched photos online and hopefully this simple and inexpensive solution will convince agents to start posting better pictures – you can’t attract a buyer if the picture of the property is not very appealing. This is definitely something that I will add to my agent toolkit.

again, the simple idea is the brilliant solution - good job.

I’m in the wind a lot taking pictures, this is so easy, so useful. Can’t tell you how many times I trash the photos I take when I come bask to work in photoshop.
