Steve Castaneda, RealtorTechForAgents.com was created on March 2, 2006 in response to the urging demand that I have been receiving at my real estate office to speak about technology. My name is Steve Castaneda, and I am a real estate consultant at Keller Williams Realty. I am a Y-Gen, and it seems I’m instinctivly interested in technology.

I actually came from the technology field. Prior to becoming a real estate consultant, I owned a small computer business called Nano PC Solutions. After making the switch to real estate, I spent countless hours trying to figure out how I could implement technology into my real estate business. Through experimentation with tons of software, and trial and error with computers I’ve used in the past, I’m usually the “go-to” person at our office for most technology questions.

I’m really passionate about technology and how it can help improve our lives in many areas, not just in real estate. Though one day after helping out a fellow agent, it dawned on me. Why don’t I just start a blog to talk about it? So here it is; a blog of my adventures of implementing technology and real estate, and the success and shortcomings I experience just about daily.

I truely hope you will find the information obtained here to be useful, and hope that you take the time to post your comments. Each one is individually read, and I always look forward to what my readers have to say.

Sit back, read up, and share some of your thoughts!

Update: In December of 2007, quite a few things happened! Not only did I get married to my wonderful wife, Kristi, but I also became a staff member at our real estate market center. I was brought on as the Director of Technology, but I personally feel like I’m more like a technology coach.

I help around 220 agents with their real estate technology problems, and am encouraged to write on blogs like this everyday! I’m proud to say I’ve found a position that I truly love to come to every day.
