HP 2709m Debut – 27 inches of Greatness

I’m a huge fan of dual-monitors. In the real estate business, agents are routinely having to alt-tab between contracts, listing database, email. We’ll literally have about 5-10 windows open at a time in the peak of our productivity hour (minutes for some).

What I’m even a bigger fan of are dual-monitors that are huge; 27 inches huge. Could you imagine picking up the latest from HP; two side by side 27 inch LCD monitors sporting a 5 ms response time (lower the better) and a 30,000:1 contrast ratio? You’ll “wow” other real estate agents for sure, but your clients will never see you submerged in your LCD heaven.

It’s only a matter of time before we’re fully surrounded by monitors performing virtual tours and web conferences with clients. Thanks to Engadget for the tip today.

You can pick up the monitor now from HP for $499.

27 inches is a lot of viewing room! There is a great new feature in Windows 7 that will auto size all open windows to equally fit on the screen.

I can only imagine having two of these. You would need a really large desk. Or maybe even wall mount them directly in front of your desk.
