iCloud BetaI’m really excited about Apple’s new free iCloud service. It’s supposed to be released at the same time as iOS 5 for Apple’s mobile devices, so we could really see a full public launch within a couple of months.

iCloud AlertsIt also looks as if Apple is going with alerts/error boxes that resemble mobile devices, which goes in line with OSX Lion’s attempt to bring iOS 5 and OSX closer together it terms of looks and how things work.

Developers are going to begin hacking away at their applications and incorporate the features that iCloud brings to the table. The free plan will include 5gb of online file storage (like Dropbox), and users will also be able to pay additional amounts for additional storage space. Other features, like contact syncing, will be absolutely free.
